Our latest news:
- Our eco-ative team of hotel employees and guests cleaned and marked on the 19th of September with the archaeological office's permission the path to Sissi. This path which trespasses the archaeological site of Malia was unfortunately almost unrecognizable as it was partly covered by overgrown plants and litter.
- Our eco-active team together with our department heads visited the Lychnostatis Museum in Hersonissos on the 25th of July. The open-air museum promotes the Cretan folk cultural heritage and allows our staff to promote the Cretan life-style to its guests.
- During the month of July, our annual voluntary blood donation was organized in cooperation with the General Hospital of Heraklion "Venizelio –Pananio”. Management and staff volunteered to donate blood to the hotels blood bank.
- Cretan Malia Park celebrates Environment Week. As part of its annual activities,on the 27th of May the hotel together with the local kindergarten paticipated in the “MED SOS” Activity. Staff and children cleaned the beach next to the hotel. All children received a certificate and a symbolic environmental gift.
- Cretan Malia Park has been awarded with the Zoover Award, Best Hotel in Category, 2011.
- Cretan Malia Park wins TUI Holly Award 2011 and receives the award for 18 consecutive years, proudly being the only hotel in the hall of fame with so many awards!
- May Day was celebrated with the traditional Greek manner. Guests and hotel staff collected flowers and created beautiful wreaths, which were decorated throughout the hotel. The most beautiful wreath was awarded.
- Aegean (a star alliance member) will be operating twice weekly a direct flight between London Heathrow and Heraklion, Crete. The service launches 16 May 2011 and runs through the summer season until 28 October 2011. Also, beginning the 16th of June 2011 and for the rest of the summer season, Aegean will operate twice weekly a direct flight between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Heraklion, Crete.
- We are pleased to announce Mr. & Mrs. Hugentobler from Goldach, Switzerland are the lucky winners of the annual grand prize draw of the Sbokos Hotel Group Loyalty Club for one week holiday!
